Most people plan a Korea trip and then find out there's a sale on. A measurable number of shoppers do it the other way around: in 2025, more than 6,200 foreign visitors entered Korea three or more times to shop Olive Young's sale weeks, according to a joint analysis by Olive Young and refund operator Global Tax Free. The same disclosure reported that the number of foreign customers who shopped both the March and June 2026 sales rose nearly elevenfold against the same period three years earlier, and that foreigners returning to Korea twice or more a year for the sales have roughly doubled every year since 2023. The reason is arithmetic rather than enthusiasm. Olive Young runs four large sales a year, each about seven days long, in late February/early March, late May/early June, late August/early September and late November/early December.
