Suncheon actually has two connected attractions: Suncheonman National Garden (순천만국가정원) — Korea's first officially designated national garden — and the Suncheonman Bay wetland reserve (순천만습지) about 7km away, known for its reed fields and tidal flats. A single admission ticket covers both: KRW 10,000 for adults, KRW 7,000 for ages 13–18, KRW 5,000 for ages 7–12 (evening tickets after 5 PM run cheaper). You don't need to buy separate entry for the wetland once you're in.

Getting Between the Two: The Skycube

The two sites are linked by the Skycube, a cable car running between Jeongwon Station (정원역, at the garden) and Suncheonman Station (순천만역, at the wetland). It runs 10 AM to 5:30 PM November–February and 10 AM to 6:30 PM March–October, closed Mondays, with tickets sold in 30-minute boarding windows. If you'd rather not ride the cable car, a free reed-field train shuttle covers the last 1.2km stretch (about 7 minutes) for Skycube riders.

KTX from Seoul to Suncheon runs about 2 hours 24 minutes, with fares starting around KRW 44,000 one-way. That's a genuine day trip if you leave early, though staying overnight gives you room for both the garden and the wetland without rushing — especially if you want to catch the wetland at golden hour, which is when most of the photos you've actually seen of this place were taken.
